EQUIPPED
KidMin Training Day
May 2 - Arizona Ministry Network Office
The Equipped Training Day is a one-day training created with you in mind. We focus on one topic so you can slow down, learn, and walk away with clear, practical takeaways for your ministry.
Our focus for our 2026 training day will be on how to best support foster families and kids with special needs. With over 10,000 children currently in the care of Arizona’s DCS Foster Care system, the likelihood of your church supporting foster families is extremely high. The opportunity to support foster families in your area should be exciting, not scary. This training is to ensure you feel equipped to reach those families and children in an intentional way. Additionally, 1 in every 31 children is diagnosed with autism, making it essential that our ministries are prepared to welcome and support both new and current families. This training is designed to help ensure every child and family can hear the gospel in a safe, supportive, and comfortable environment.
Currently serving at the Director of Home Group Relations for OCJ Kids, Shevaun has devoted the last 22 years of her life to helping foster children in Arizona get the love and hope they need in their lives.
OCJs mission is to change the culture of foster care in Arizona by providing opportunity, creating community, and fighting for justice for foster and at-risk kids. They support foster families and children, not just in Arizona, but around the nation. Visit the OCJ website, here.
