ABOUT US

OUR MISSION

AZ Kids exists to engage, equip, and empower the next generation to live boldly as free, firmly rooted disciples. We create spaces for life-changing encounters with Jesus, develop resources that cultivate biblical literacy and a resilient Christian worldview, and train leaders to disciple with intentionality and excellence.

WHO WE ARE

AZ Kids is the KidMin department of the Arizona Assemblies of God Ministry Network. As an Assemblies of God ministry, we operate in alignment with AG beliefs and ministry practices.

AZ Kids is led by our director, Anna Crandell, who loves supporting leaders and the local church.

WHAT WE DO

As the Network KidMin department, we host events designed to serve both leaders and kids. Early in the year, we kick off with KidCon, a one-day, high-energy conference where kids encounter Jesus in life-changing ways and have an absolute blast while doing it. We hold KidCon twice, once in the West Valley and once in the East, so the experience is as accessible as possible.

In late June and early July, we host Kids Camp, a four-day, three-night experience like no other. Camp gives kids an opportunity to unplug from the world and connect deeply with God and with their Christian community.

Our final major event is Grow Conference, a leadership gathering created to encourage and equip Arizona KidMin leaders to serve with excellence while being supported by a strong community.

HOW WE SUPPORT THE LOCAL CHURCH

We are passionate about supporting the local church by providing resources and opportunities that strengthen your kids ministry and help you disciple the next generation with confidence.

Through the BGMC Portal, leaders gain access to creative teaching materials that help kids understand the heart of missions and participate in giving opportunities that make a real impact.

Getting involved in Junior Bible Quiz (JBQ) is another powerful tool, helping kids memorize Scripture, build biblical literacy, and grow in confidence as they learn God’s Word.

We also offer team-wide training through events like Grow, where leaders at every level receive practical tools, encouragement, and vision for ministry.

In addition, churches have access to a wide range of Discipleship Resources such as the KidMin Roadmap, Girls Ministries, Royal Rangers, and topical guides designed to help leaders navigate various ministry situations with clarity and care.

HOW WE SUPPORT KIDMIN LEADERS

We offer a variety of resources and ongoing opportunities designed to support, equip, and encourage KidMin leaders throughout the year.

Topical Zoom Calls provide practical, focused training on issues relevant to children’s ministry today, offering space to learn strategies and ask questions in a collaborative online setting.

Our Book Cohort brings leaders together regularly over Zoom to read, discuss, and grow through meaningful conversations around a selected ministry or leadership book.

The ASOM Cohort gives leaders the chance to take courses that directly support kids ministry while also working toward their ministry credentials in a supportive, community-based environment.

Leader Meet-Ups take place a few times throughout the year in different regions across Arizona, giving KidMin leaders the opportunity to connect in person, build relationships, share ideas, and encourage one another in the work God has called them to.
